Beginning Your Child’s Education
We believe that your child’s experience of Pre-School should be a positive and stimulating one. Enabling children to learn through play is our key ambition.
Safe & Caring Environment
Our priority is to offer a safe and caring environment. We believe that your child’s experience of Pre-School should be a positive and stimulating one. Enabling children to learn through play is our key ambition. We focus on helping to develop your child’s social skills, increase their self confidence in a group setting and to provide them with a wide range of stimulating and enjoyable activities. Whether it be painting, messy play, dressing-up, gardening, or a mini expedition, we want your child to develop new skills and further their independence; making exciting discoveries through play and activities.
This website is designed to provide general information about the Pre-School and the way it is organized. We hope you will find it informative and helpful, however if you wish to find out more, please do not hesitate to contact either the Pre-School Leader or the Chair Person.
So come along and see what Harrold Pre-School has to offer. This is where the journey of learning, discovery and adventure begins!
Come Visit Us
We welcome visits at anytime and offer introductory sessions for any prospective parent/carer to see our child care environment in action. We are also happy to arrange a play and stay visit prior to a child starting their preschool journey with us at Harrold Pre-School.
Each child has their own key worker and their progress is recorded in their individual learning journal, which is accessible to parents/carers at all times.
Our Pre-School in the Community
The Pre-School has excellent links with other village amenities, and the children are welcomed by the fire Station, the local allotments, garage, shop and Country Park.
About Harrold Pre-School
Established in 1965, Harrold Pre-School is a busy and popular community group in Bedfordshire that provides pre-school education for children prior to them starting at primary school.
We are a non-profit making organisation and a registered charity run by an elected voluntary committee of, in the main, parents and carers of the children currently attending pre-school. Our aims underpin our philosophy of providing a service run by the community for the community
Located in the heart of the village in a permanent position on the same site as Harrold Primary Academy, we have our own outdoor play area and operate full day care.
